The sea ...
I woke up once on the edge of the ocean.
And the days were shorter, and it was colder than it should be.
And the nights were warmer, and the sand was the body.
And the sea was the blood,
And we cut our toes on the rocks and bled communal wine.
And the alter was the fire pit, the aroma of incense was the meat.
And we sang our hymns under the moon,
Our tongues laced with vodka.
We danced with dreams on the beach.
And the nights were safe, and it was brighter than it should be.
And the days were wet, and we swam in the body.
And the sea was the blood,
And we were a community bound by ancient nature.
And we sacrificed on the alter, lit the candles with drift wood.
And we sang our hymns to the sea,
Our tongues were laced with love.
And we live in the church ...

It really should all be to music, but I'm to tired to pick up my guitar right now.
